Why we built Axera

Business software should work with the operation, not against it.

Axera was founded by Joshua Leigh and Edward Hawksworth, combining first-hand experience in warehousing and ERP implementations with more than a decade of software development expertise.

We saw businesses relying on expensive, complicated systems that were difficult to change and often disconnected from how their teams actually worked. Axera was created to make ERP faster to deploy, quicker to change and more cost-efficient to run. Built from scratch using frontier technologies and shaped around real operational requirements, it shortens the route from a business need to a working improvement.

Joshua Leigh

Joshua leads Axera’s product direction, operational design and commercial strategy. He brings 10 years of warehousing experience and five years delivering ERP implementations and upgrades, giving him first-hand knowledge of how business systems succeed or fail in real operations.

He co-founded Axera because he believes ERP should reflect how businesses actually operate, with faster rollouts, practical design and less budget lost to unnecessary complexity.

Edward Hawksworth

Edward leads Axera’s software engineering, technical architecture and product delivery. He brings 12 years of software development experience and turns operational requirements into a reliable, adaptable platform.

He is building Axera around the belief that frontier technology should make business software faster to improve, more reliable and easier to adapt as customers grow.
